  1. In regards to the point gard thing. IMO I think that Ginn is doing a very good job at point. She gets the team into their offenses great! Clinkenbeard is a good ball handler and will be a fine option at the PG position in years to come but she is not strong enough to be a varsity PG. Ginn does make a lot of unforced turnovers, but as does everyone on that team. Also as you all no Dixon is the stud of the team, always leading in points, but most of her points come from assists from Ginn. If your big men are scoring in double figures every game, you have to give the point gaurd some credit!
  2. I have to agree with bearcat26 on this one, I witnessed alot of what went on in that school last year. The "juniors", now seniors, were not given the chance to prove themselves, the younger players had talent but I think that they were not better in any way.
  3. 1A region 8--Walton Verona. I watched them race today, both boys and girls look good. Girls came in 2nd and Boys got 4th. Good Luck to both teams at state, I'd like to see them come home with 2 state titles!
  4. Nell Fookes, I got the chance to watch her coach the all star game, if you can get all those girls who think they are the best, to play together, you must be doing something right. Also, just look at her numbers, hands down she deserves it.
  5. If you know the senior, you know attitude had nothing to do with it. She had a good attitude. :thumb:
  6. Even though I may not agree with the decision to cut that senior, I must say I do agree with you. Trame and Miller are the best things that have happened to the girls program in a while.
  7. I agree with you, but as a said before this senior had talent. About Rosen, your entitled to your opinoin, but I along with alot of other people that witnessed first hand what Rosen did, feel like that she was simply a waste of time. Like I also said before, the younger players were very talented, but you and I both know that she didn't give the older players a chance. Plain and simple.
  8. Well, as you are aware, Rosen benched the older girls last year to play younger, no don't get me wrong the young girls were very skilled, but still. Her work ethic was great and she had a very succesful JV season last year. This summer during team camp she showed great leadership on the court, and was succesful at the point gaurd position. Trust me, everyone was very surprised by the coaches decision to cut her.
  9. I would agree with you but, this senior made the all tournament team for districts her sophmore year, if you ask me that tells you they can play.
  10. Okay, everyone is saying how young and inexperienced this team is going to be. So, answer me this, if your team is so inexperienced and young, why would you cut and senior? I'm referring to one of Walton's seniors that was cut by Miller and Trame earlier this week.
