Now that Hicks is back where he belongs, Shelby will win the thing by a large margin. They should have the best three players in the region with Beckly, Johnson and Hicks. If, and that is a big IF, they can play a team game and not go one on one, then bring the crown to Shelbyville..

The conditions got horrible in the second half. Field held up pretty good in the first half after nearly an inch of rain feel during pregame activities. Everything turned to slop as the night wore on and SC showed that they had a power running game to go along with the other two packages they have. Home calls isn't the right word for it.

Sorry to say but this is a done deal. This goes back to last year when the season was over. It has been said that Hicks was at NO playing pickup games during Spring Break. Be for real, this is not about him wanting a better education to go to Duke. This is about nothing more than a dad and AAU Coach. It appears that he will be attending NO for 2 years and his dad and AAU coach are already prepairing for him to go to Oak Hill his last 2 years. Sad story but a true one. I just wonder what the KID really wants to do.

The weather sounds like this game might be played in the rain. If so, what will the field conditions at Male be and who would the advantage go to?

I agree Mike that Coach Shipley and staff and have a wonderful job of holding this team togather. However, don't think the spread O has been swept under the rug. They are at a point where at any given time a different set may take the field. OC is having a great year but is their competion any better than what the Rockets have been seeing all year?

I think you learned two things about the Rockets. The teams they have been playing all year are good. When you take a step back in the talent level it shows just how good you can be. One thing about this Rocket team is that they hadn't won a game all year, they have never quit on themselves or have never gone on to the filed thinking that they couldn't beat the team on the other side of the field. Many times when you are in a situation like this, the finger is being pointed at another player or coach. Not this bunch, they have stayed togather as a family.

The Rockets have gotten the monkey off it's back. What O system will the Rockets run this week? Will they spread the field with all the young athletes or will they go with the big boys and run the POWER game. The D has not gotten the credit it deserves. I can see them doing many special things on special teams. Rockets 28-12.
