  1. I was a player on that team last season. If I recall correctly there was about 2:30 left in the game and it was 3rd down on about the 15 yard line. Calling a "quick slant" was by no means "running it up." Beating a team 24-0 is not humiliating anyone. It is the offense's job to score and the defense's job to stop it.
  2. CCH does indeed miss Bruner on the defensive side of the ball. That being said, I do not think any CCH player is "afraid" of being hit by him. Kyle may not even be a starting player on Cardinal Mooney.
  3. St. X Cincy by 21....those who say St.X is overrated will have a rude awakening come game time.
  4. CCH didnt seem to good to many people last year either. And I believe they were up 49-0 on the Eagles with 11 minutes left in the game, and started clearing the bench.
  5. This is once again an irroneous statement. The CCH faithful are behind the coaching staff. Saying that, this particular group of coaches have consistently underachieved with great talent and mishandled many situation on and off the field.
  6. This is completely inaccurate. As a player who played under the current defensive coordinator Frueff and former defensive coordinator Hautman, this is not even a fair comparison. Hautman was a far better coach, with a much better game plan-every single week.
  7. How did this game go down? What was the score at half?...and how big of a comeback for the Colonels?
  8. Yes CCH does have a very big and experienced offensive line this year. That being said, it looked like it was there first varsity play from scrimmage each and every down last week. I look for the CCH offense in particular to challenge themselves and rise to the occasion. I hope that the play-calling does as well. I just feel like at this point the sad truth is that it does not matter how big or experienced you are if the offensive line did not do the job in the weightroom and in the preparing an effective blocking scheme. Trust me when I say I have personal ties with the CCH football program and the line may be big but they have yet to prove they are strong.
  9. Highlands is not a comparable team to either of Colrain's first two opponents without Connor. With Connor, I believe Highlands keeps this one close. Due to a combination of variables including speed, experience, and injury Colrain wins this one comfortably. Colrain-28 Highlands-10 At least Highlands does not embarrass themselves like Covington Catholic week 1.
  10. I am a huge CCH football fan. Given that, CCH does not have the offensive play calling, coaching, scheme, etc. to score enough points to win against the Breds. Superior coaching and game planning will be the difference in this one. NCC wins 24-14.
