Anyone can be beat that's why they play the games. Daddy Cat you may know New Harlan by there mascot the Patriots. I think they played Lynn Camp year before last. Was Lynn Camp's middle school ever in the Cumberland Valley Conference? Correct me if I'm wrong but you are now in a conference with M'Boro, Harlan Ind., and Middlesboro aren't you?

It will not take Coach Larkey long to develop a quality football team (what 1 or 2 games) and the way I see it your combining three schools with talent, it's not like these boys have never seen a football. Plus the middle school teams have been playing at Bell County's level for a couple of years.

I'm all for it. Sounds great would be a great rivalry, cawood had some good games with bell in the early 90's. And the middleschool teams have played some great games the last 4 or 5 years. While I'm speaking of middle school, pennington gap looks to be a regular on the middle school schedule. And I believe they are a feeder to Lee County. All of that makes for a good rivalry. I'm all for playing the independent schools but seems like they only want to play when they feel like they have good teams and a chance to win. If they are down they don't want to play. The only problem I can think of with playing schools in TN and VA is that it might take Coach Larkey a little longer to get to 300. Out of state wins don't count. But I'm sure he would rather play quality competition and focus on the year at hand rather than worry about 300.

Always interested in what the High Schools have coming in. Does anyone see a 9th or 10th grader making a big impact on the High School level?

Knox Central should be pretty good, if not this season in the future, their middle school team played New Harlan and Bell tough last year. They have some big ole boys there.
