He was the JV coach for the boys the last 5 years. Cassity is the right choice for the job. Quality guy who really cares about the program and the girls. He would continue what Kidwell built.

Just saw Amy Hughes at the school today. She is definitly not what the girls program needs.

I think Cassity or Parsley would do a good job. Maybe they should coach together.

May have been his biggest career mistake ever.

Having the kind of talent he had didn't hurt things either. He did do a good job but don't forget about the level of talent that has been there.

He wanted to coach his son. and be with his daughter. Don't try to imply something that just isn't there.

Russell baseball is way down this year. Are they just young or is the talent just not there?

When has Cassity or Parsley ever coachhed their kid at a school sport.

Hope not. He is in it for his kid only and not for the program as a whole.

I didn't say they weren't quality people just not experienced varsity coaches. Except for Bryan and if you saw him coach the jv girls last year you question that as well. Horne was a decent player but that doesn't mean you can coach.

Asst. Coaches are Sean Horne. Gary Morris. Joe Bryan. Not exactly top quality experienced group for a team that needs all the help it can get. If they win 8 games next year. Kidwell is coach of the year.

Not everything is has as obvious as it may seem to those on the outside looking in.

Don't look for an annoucement any time soon. Looks like there maybe some division among the powers that be at Russell on who the next coach should be!:argue:

New coach or not unless someone transfer in. They will be lucky to win 6 games. Maybe in a couple of years though. Good luck to the new coach.
