Those stats are crazy:jump:. Did A. Houston win Mr. Basketball that year ? I wonder how Mr. Basketball of that year stats, compare to Jack's ? In Covington I've always heard he should have won it.

Ryle has the talent to compete year in and year out for the 9th. For some reason it seems, that they are not getting the best out of the talent [jmo].

Henley reaching deeper in the bench is a good sign. That will allow them to play at a faster pace. It seems the bench got a little deeper the sametime last year. That's what makes Henley a great coach, he will make the adjustments needed come tourney time. Once post-season start depth won't be an issue. The soph. are juniors now. I think thats one of the reasons Mayfield is seeing the floor.

My father and a lot of my uncle's played for L. Grant. How competitive was L. Grant at that time.

Is that Tom Thacker? Did he play for L. Grant or Holmes ? I'm not really sure. I know he went on to play at UC and Boston. I think he was a part of the championship at UC the year after Big O left. I could be wrong on this, correct me if I am. He youst to host a tourney every summer in Covington.

It's good to see Housley in double figures. Him and Riley looked like they picked it up when R.Johnson and Pittman had foul trouble. I still think R.Johnson has to get more aggressive come tourney time.

I agree with this post. IMO Holmes, Boone, Dixie, and Highlands will be the front runners in the 9th over the next 4 years. I hope in this time span Cov. Cath. get's it rolling. That would make the 9th very, very competitive.

I'm a younger 9th region fan. I've been a fan since the 1990 Bulldog team. I'm enjoying the history lesson, keep them coming.:thumb::popcorn:
