From what I understand Pettit has been extremely ill. Teague is now experiencing that illness. Hopefully the Jackets can keep everyone else healthy to finish out the season. This is a perfect example that a team or Coach never knows what they may have to deal with at tournament time. Chad Terry has done a great job at picking up the slack.

:confused: When our own children are involve in a program (as I suspect yours was involved in this one at one time) our emotions get the best of us. So yes maybe I am emotional in the same way you have expressed your own emotions.

Being the responsible party in charge of W'burg basketball and hearing his name & reputation questioned the way that it has been on this thread and others threads, only reinforces the notion that Coach Robinson should run his program the way he sees fit. This is especially true when it comes to the type of people he wants assisting him, but since people assisting his program has been mentioned, you now see Darnell Howell, who was a starting guard at Cumberlands, now assisting Coach Robinson. I seriously doubt that Darnell's family prominence in Williamsburg influenced Coach Robinson or anyone at W'burg to hire him as a substitute teacher and let him coach basketball. Other knowledgeable people have helped Coach Robinson during Christmas break. Occasionally, people have seen reputable young coaches with the last name of Vernon in Williamsburg's gym as well. Knowing all of this, I am just not of the opinion that Coach Robinson is an isolationist. He is just careful and rightfully so, in light of the entire picture at Williamsburg recently, people he chooses to have helping him.

You know there are literally millions of people who have "coached this game" -Coach Robinson inherited a program that was both rock bottom and had a misfortunate circumstance to occur related to school personnel. I am not for sure that the "school system" had lots of people who have "coached this game" beating down the doors to walk into a situation that Coach Robinson agreed to take. Say what you want - W'burg's program needed stability on a lot of fronts that weren't necessarily related to W's and L's. Coach Robinson has chosen where to begin bringining this stability to the Jacket program and his efforts will lead to W's. I support Coach Robinson and commend him on having the patience and overall vision to guide W'burg's program back to a sustained competitive level. Williamsburg has taken a lot of teams,more accomplished than this one, and walked out of both the Old Barbourville gym and the new one with a "L" saddled on their backs. This is a great win for the players and, yes, for Coach Robinson as well. Anyone has to admit that a "down program" has to begin getting good wins somewhere. Last night was the "somewhere" and I think there will be many more of these to come in a short amount of time. CONGRATUATIONS JACKETS AND COACH ROBINSON

This win doesn't surprise me. The Jackets have really been steppin it up with the exception of the Harlan game.

Williamsburg should have a good season. I heard their quarterback along with their recievers have alot of talent. The Rolins kid is a hoss. Also heard Williamsburg had several selected to the SEKC football team. Does anybody know who they are?
