The heat index is suppose to be 108 today, Wednesday, and 111 on Thursday!!! I think the humidity is worse than the heat...

 

PS:My A/C decided to go out last night also...it was 82 in the house all night! That sucked!

I know a little about that humidity stuff. Remember, it could be worse. I just checked Channel 6 where you are it shows 90 degrees with 56% humidity so the heat index (feels like) is 99. Using the same site Tampa is 89 with 71% humidity and a heat index of 103. That's what humidity can do. I can't walk out to my car without drenching my shirt and it's hasn't rained yet. When that happens, it'll cool about 3 or 4 degrees during the rain then shoot back up into the 90s and the humidity will go to 80%. It turns everything into a sauna. The air is so heavy, you can't breath.

 

I hate this time of year. My electric bill last month was $275.

 

I'll trade ya. Right now anyway. I'm going to be up there in a couple of weeks and I can't wait.

Yesterday, Mom (Catholic) and Dad (Baptist) celebrated 56 years of marriage. My grandfather (Dad's side) was a Baptist preacher and as far as he was concerned, Mom was the best thing since sliced bread. Dad thinks she's OK, too.

I just got back...and it was indeed awesome.....we were out on a hillside in the hills of Morehead....the menu was such:

 

Apple Salad with a red wine vinaigrette

Rubbed Chicken

Beef Tenderloin (slow roasted)

Crab Bisque Mac n Cheese

Green Bean bundles (fresh green beans that are seasoned and wrapped with hickory smoked bacon)

Twice Baked mashed potatoes...

Yes, he did. I can give Shef's comments credence, now. However, if he makes another accusation tomorrow, I'll hold the same opinion as before. I take no celebrity, for that matter no person, at their word alone unless I know and trust them personally.

As for South Florida, they are very good at home but atrocious on the road, so I guess it depends on where they'd play.

Until someone proves that Sheff has a history of lying, you cannot simply discount his accusation because you do not like him.

And until someone backs up his accusation, I have no reason to believe him either. I don't care what his rep is. If he is going to make damaging statements like that, he best have backup to prove it or his comments are simply dead air to me.

As a teen I lived on a street with several Catholics. When I tried to call up one of the several young ladies to maybe date I was told in a round about way that I wasn't welcomed by their Parents. I thought it was becaused I talked different. I later found out why. My church and the Baptist connection.

 

Here is a honest question for everyone. How would you feel about your teen dating a person (not counting a Bama person) of a different Religion? Or would you date someone? I have my thoughts but I'll hold them for a while.

They may be beatable when playing a UL, WVU or Rutgers but no way USF, UC or Pitt wins more than 1 out of 5 against Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, Arkansas, LSU and Auburn. They wouldn't win a series against UK, South Carolina or Alabama either.
