  1. Any more information on this. I know Coach Fisk is a done deal but what about the other?
  2. Didn't make the last rounds of interviews.
  3. Guess my source was correct then.
  4. No official words yet but I just got off the phone with someone who said Dave Campbell accepted the job and another one of the finalist will be coming as well as assistant coach( someone from Lloyd I think)
  5. That would be very reasonable, unfortunately, for Coach Fisk he was not given that luxury even though he tied for the third most wins in school history and made the playoffs for only the second time in school history. Maybe the next coach will be given the time (but the last two were only there 3 years)
  6. Hard to be successful when you're only give three years to turn around a program that has had no success in 30 years. The first step to doing this is to hire someone who is committed to the program and cares about the school and kids. Not someone looking for a stepping stone job until something better comes along.
  7. yea I can see how that $8500 coaching salary can be a draw
  8. Dave Campbell:thumb:again the job is his if he wants it
  9. Tough for a kid to play both soccer and football (not just kick but play). Looking over the basketball roster seems like many of those kids play or have played football. Same with baseball/track I beleieve (although in track many of the runners are on the CC team). Again the urban legend that Scott High is over run with athletes is a myth -I believe.
  10. He was seen in the building the other day. I heard the job was offered to him and he would give an answer in a few days. Wonder what that means? If you were interested to apply and go though the process, why wouldn't you then accept the job- unless something can up during the process? Wonder what will happen if he turns the job down do you open it up again and start over? (It was down to two coaches this time). Seems like this happened the last time the job can opened.
  11. don't think any offers were made. I do know there was an interview on Wednesday and one on Thursday. Seems the power to be is holding it close to the vest on who his choice is.
  12. just saying the times I've been at Scott I don't see all the athletes that some claim to be walking the halls.
  13. Yea he was telling people at the games last September that he was the next coach and that next year would be different:sssh:Guess it didn't work out for him:rolleyes:
  14. looks like it down to really two serious contenders
  15. that 1st game should be interesting
  16. I don't think it's been coaching the last 30 years. I question all the Athletes walking around the hall not playing(was there a little bit ago and didn't see any;)I was expecting to see the Monsters of the midway the way people talk about the halls of Scott High School:eek:) They're needs to be total dedication from the players and the coaches.
  17. A couple of good canidates, no one really outstanding. So those four will be given a second interview. Should know something this week.
  18. get a coach, get in the weightroom, get assistant coaches, find the players in the hallways. Maybe not in that order but...........
  19. two time NKY middle school league champs:ylsuper:He has the rings and patches to prove it
  20. and a very good opionion But then again it was the principal who made the call on firing Coach Fisk without input from anyone
