  1. There is no way the KHSAA will make him eligible. They are hard eggs. Isn't that the school that hired Youngman from Greenup Co?
  2. Hard to believe you could list that many kids and leave off Troy Steward.
  3. You might have been the only one who posted it on this board but you were hardly the only person who thought this was a short term relationship. Most everyone knew he was gone when he made comments in the paper that were basically critical of the administrion. After Greenup won the 63rd district he made a comment along the lines of "this is what happens when you let someone do their job". Not an exact quote but the writing was on the wall at that point.
  4. Maybe so, but anyone could have seen this one.
  5. Yeah right! You meant it was scary that anyone actually likes soccer.
  6. That's an interesting questions. I'm trying hard to think of someone who is looking to coach a year or two before they move on.
  7. Our loss, heavens gain. I'm saddened by the news but comforted to know that Larry is in the presence of God.
  8. What needs revamping is the KHSAA, which is an absolute joke.
  9. That's a great story, those kids should be proud of all of their accomplishment on the hardwood, and very kind words from Coach Thacker but what does that have to do with using paragraphs?
  10. I think it's fair to say that Ashland would have had a better chance to force overtime if anything was called rather than letting Rowan tackle the shooter. Fair enough?
  11. Thats an excellent point about Rowan's foul trouble if the game would have be extended. Those would have been extremely tough free throws for the young man from Ashland.
  12. Like I said before I think Rowan was fouling on purpose which to me was the smart play. It appeared to me that the Rowan player, Eagen I believe, was trying to foul by holding before the ball was passed in bounds. Once Whetsel broke from the hold Eagan was late getting to him and fouled him in the act of shooting. I have talked to several people, some from Ashland, some from Rowan, and others from parts unknown and everyone of them agrees that it was a missed call and Whetsel was shooting. However, this wasn't was not the difference in the game. Poor free throw shooting on Ashland's part and excellent free throw shooting on Rowans part was the difference. Yes the officiating was poor all the way around but not the reason for the outcome.
  13. Thought the crowd was exceptional. What's getting lost in the officiating controversy is the quality of the play by both teams. It was a great game to watch and the team that hit free throws won.
  14. Referee signaled that the ball was tipped twice. At least that's what it appeared to me he signaled. He actually pointed at Wing and said he tipped it. Couldn't agree more that Ashland had their chances. I would say more than chances a 4 point lead with 3 to play. Have to put those away.
  15. I can give a first hand account. Rowan Co. made plays down the stretch and deserved to win. However, the last play was bizarre. Rowan was trying to foul pryor to a shot attempt. The player from Rowan held the Ashland player on his cut, once the Ashland player broke the arm tackle the Rowan player went back for more and was late. He clearly came across both of the shooters arms with both of his arms. Really, just a strange sequence of events. It's a shame that it wasn't called but Ashland only have themselves to blame. Poor free throw shooting was the reason they lost.
  16. Good to be back. As for Fairview I'm not gonna cheer for anyone named Spaz. Not gonna happen. Russell is just Russell, unlikable. Dumb mascot, dumb fans, ugly gym, leaky pipes, and dumb shade of yellow in their uniform.
  17. Should be a hum dinger. Two teams split the regular season matchups. I'm just happy the Cooksey are not coaching and Russell isn't playing in the finals. What's your thoughts?
  18. 7 jobs in 15 years? Sounds like a perfect fit for Greenup.
  19. I would rather be kicked in the teeth than play for or watch a Randy Ward coached team. Nothing personal but that style of play just sucks.
  20. Watched on the DVR and clearly did. I think he just waited too long. I tell you I really like Motta, he is a class act. Was before the game was after. If cal leaves if would take him in a heartbeat
  21. Actually if you watch Motta he is trying to.
  22. Anyone want to question Cal as a bench coach now?
  23. I hope he gets his wish.
