Lone Oak v. Warren East Franklin County v. Bell County

That's some interesting stats right there. I didn't know Western Hills had ever made it to the playoffs. My pick is Henry County, but would love to see the Western Hills kids pull off this upset.

Obviously KY Class A playoffs are no NCAA basketball tourney bracket, but if you're gonna pick the upset might as well pick it for the biggest dog in the fight? Yeah, it probably won't happen. Maybe I subconsciously just love Dayton's look and want to see them in person.

Frankfort v. Dayton Pikeville v. Hazard Don't ask me to defend that Dayton pick. Haven't seen them or Beechwood play, but anything could happen. I gotta go with instinct and hope I'm lucky.

Sometimes you lose and it doesn't help to start blaming and pointing fingers. Sometimes you lose to better teams. Sometimes you lose to teams that just played better that night. Winning isn't paramount - it's a goal you work to achieve while overcoming circumstances and growing as a person.

Also, I think it is good to put this in perspective. Don't let the re-alignment/re-classification fool you. Just because North Hardin has 5 more As than Frankfort doesn't mean their enrollment is 3/2 the size it was last year when they only had 3 more As than Frankfort. Also, according to KHSAA stats, North Hardin's 4-year average enrollment (for boys) is almost half of that of the biggest schools (Trinity and a couple others) in 6A. So, just keep it in perspective. Congrats to North Hardin for being more physical and getting the win. Frankfort, stay focused on the game ahead and you’ll do well in the playoffs.

To jump in on the argument... FHS should learn that diving at the ankles of strong runners will not take them down and that they need to wrap up. It seemed that Frankfort defenders were used to this working against other teams, but every time they tried to take out the legs from someone on N. Hardin, they put their feet right back on the ground and kept on trucking. That is definitely something that can be learned and improved upon if Frankfort hopes to compete with the top teams in Class A.
