By the way, does anyone agree that Lloyd may have one of the best nicknames in Kentucky HS football?

I gotta believe that Lloyd will come out strong in this game. They have an up and coming QB I think in Gregory who looked pretty good in the Beechwood game. If Lloyd wants to win this game, they have to catch the football. I thought dropped passes really killed them against the Tigers. Newport and Lloyd have had similar "coach drama" in the past, and I think it affects the players to an extent. Yeagle's situation is an exception. Lloyd knows what they have to do to win this game. Adam Schmitz from Ryle is an all-around great HS player not just at LB, but RB.

Brian Sauerbeck from Campbell Co. has to make this list. The kid is a beast on the field.

Brossart will still be hurting after the Beechwood loss. The Tigers will win this one easily.

This is a must win for the Camels who've been struggling the last two weeks. The Ryle game was a big disappointment to all the players for Campbell Co. and now the players are looking for a whipping boy.

After Bricking's performance last week I think that Dixie will be fired up and ready to go. I agree that Molony has to be firing on all cylinders to get the team moving. If Dixie can stop Josh Connor, which is going to be really tough, I definitely think they have a shot to win this game. If Dixie lets Connor run all over them, well, you know what will happen. However...:banana: To rain on the cake eating parade I'm saying Dixie 28- Highlands 24

Despite all the chatter about the QB, I'm going to go with the 'Breds in this one. Mark Kelly will get the job done on the ground for NCC. Bellevue always impresses me when I watch them play, but the Breds are too tough for the Tigers this year.

The Camels didn't expect to lose 28-0 obviously on Friday night. Kidwell came out nervous in this being his first "big" game. I think a 28-0 win for Boone Co. isn't good enough. Campbell Co. played awful. Just think if the Camels played just a little bit better. This game wouldn't be 28-0. Campbell Co. is in Boone's league, there's no doubt about it. The defense contained Farris. How many big runs did he have? All short yardage runs. Eten, DE, was being triple teamed on the outside and Farris was no where near him. Campbell Co. may re-evaluate their game plan and come back next time looking like a different team. Farris is Boone's lifeline, if he goes down, so do the Rebels. It's never good to rest your season on one offensive player.

Beechwood players know that they have this game in the bag. Don't tell Coach Rash that though. It's one of those games where if you're Brossart you don't have any injuries. Beechwood will be stronger, faster, more talented than Brossart. What else would you expect for a team who's been around much longer than Brossart? The Mustangs program will take time to build, but one day, like in basketball, the Mustangs will be better than Beechwood. What Brossart lacks in talent, they make up for in hustle and heart. I thought that both teams played very well Friday night. NCC definitely doesn't look as good as they have in years past, but have a lot of talent on this football team. I was impressed with Mark Kelly, NCC RB, who seemed to find holes in the Ryle OL. He kept NCC in the game. Kues made some solid throws, but a couple drops by Burke Beiting didn't help any. Brian Wrobleski had a nice catch on one of the drives. I really think he should get the ball a lot more than what I've seen in two games. Ryle showed a lot of poise coming out especially with Adam being out with food poisoning (I wasn't aware of that) I felt that Kiefer Eubank and Jaron did a nice job at runningback while he was out Friday. Benke continues to stray away from the pass. I'm not sure if Ryle can keep winning without him throwing the ball. Defense looked good as usual. Brizinski in on a lot of plays, Franke was all over the place, and Campbell's INT was clutch in those final seconds. One thing that no one has mentioned, what about the lights going out at the game with 3:22 left in the second. The teams went to half time, came back, lights got fixed, played 3:22, went to a 10 minute half, Ryle went to the lockers, NCC stayed on the field, Schneider consoled with refs, put 5 minutes on the clock and they started the 3rd afterward. Does anyone see that as being something that could have affected either team? Ryle was driving at the time.
