I agree with raiderbird on this one. An objective look shows a declining program with players choosing to leave the team...
19 Juniors in '10 -> 13 Seniors in '11. 23 Sophs in '10 -> 18 Juniors in '11. That is at least 11 Juniors/Sophs that decided not to come back to the Raiders for their Senior/Junior year.
This is a fairly dramatic drop. How do you explain this...
This kind of looks like the Duffy era at Highlands. Very talented coach but had trouble keeping coaches and trouble getting kids to come out for the program.

I love this place but I don't think it will be the same at another location. They had great frog legs. Anyone else a fan of this place.?

I read a stat that over 60% of employers now do a search of social media before offering any type of job to someone.

Yeah, I was suprised when all 3 were up there. I agree on Tucker coming back for 1 more Friday movie. The first one is one of my favorites.
I just read yesterday they are going to make another Friday movie and Chris Tucker is coming back. How cool would that be.

There's a difference between broadcasting it between him and his friends from Cov Cath and NDA and it being posted on BGP where literally everyone, from every school, from every age can see it. I'm not friends with him, so I wouldn't have seen it had it not been posted here. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that there's no way you would have seen it either had it not been posted here.
Are you saying Guru is friends with him? Remind me not to friend Guru.

I think the nuns should take the ruler across the knuckles approach Oh, the good ole days.

Sorry then. I had no way of knowing it was a joke.
We really do need a sarcastic font. Make bulletin boards so much better.

Anybody no what happened to Paul Hladen(spelling?) He would have graduated in 89 I think. I remember him writing an article every week in the paper about his recruiting. He ended up at an ivy league school.

I love this info you post on all the playoff games, gchs, good job. :thumb:
20 years of results for 2nd round (1991-2010) and HHS is 16-3. My question is what year did HHS fail to make the 2nd round and who did they lose to round 1?
I may be wrong but I don't think the birds made the playoffs in 91. So that would be my guess.

I don't follow the other classes so much, but 4a this year is essentially the same thing. The top 5 or 6 teams are going to be on one side of the bracket.
-
Just looking at the attendance thread, it sure seems many fans/parents do not want the extra game. Also, looks like many players do not either as they are showing up in some cases with less than 25% on their roster that started the year.

I think those arguing for fewer teams in the playoffs really are just being selfish. They don't want to watch a lopsided football game. There isn't any other legit reason why you wouldn't argue in favor of the current "everyone has a chance" setup. I can't think of anywhere else on any level of sport that people argue fewer teams in the playoffs. In all the other sports, the argument is how do we get more teams into the playoffs.
Most of those arguments come from a selfish point of view. Anything above high school and becomes about money. You ask they pros, major college players if they want to play one more game. I don't think it is fair to let most teams in and not others. Why does a district that has 4 teams automatically get in but a district with 5 or 6, some stays home (except Simon Kenton and I doubt they were happy to play one more game.) Let everyone in and shorten the season by a game or make people qualify to get in. No other sports in KY have 6 classes either.

I bet Trinity doesn't have a close game the rest of the year, maybe 6A should get rid of the playoffs, actually come to think of it Trinity hasn't had a close game in 6A all year, perhaps 6A should just quit playing the games period.....:notworthy:
It seems to me, most teams have quit playing Trinity except for the ones that have to. I would say a lot of teams would agree with you.

Didn't need to hold that one for 7 years. Facts are facts. You are quick to run your mouth about coaches but the facts are, your coach knowingly played a player that was not eligible and it took a court injunction to get by Bell County. That is proven facts.
And later to be found eligible and all wins given back. Facts are facts and coach Matney is not very well respected across the state.

I will go with Jude with 45 first half and 125 second half against the JV. Total 170.

Maybe they do, but you can guarantee that he will do above and beyond what he is supposed to. That is the point. This is my last post on this site. If it has turned into a site that allows grown adults take out their jealousy issues on high school players then I don't want anything to do with it. Good luck to your teams the rest of the way.
Just couldn't stay away....addicting huh?

:laugh:The reality is, there are those that don't like Matney, and there are those that have yet to meet Matney. -
I have also heard some of these teams had a lot of players quit at the end of the year and were hoping just to have enough players to play the game. They didn't want to take the long bus trip only to get beat bad.
-
Exactly. I assume you want to change that, too?
I say then, we make football 1 class and let everyone in. We wouldn't need a season since everyone is in the playoffs. Just flip a coin for seeds. This way no one would get injured before the playoffs start.

Do schools (in particular Highlands) honor season passes for the playoffs? Or do you have to buy a ticket for playoffs?

I thought Tom was the athletic director at Dixie. Is that not correct?

As far as demeanor, you can't go wrong with golden retrievers or labs. My neighbor has rotty that is as nice as can be. I would love an english bulldog but they are very pricey. I have had many dogs in my life and currently own 3. I had a husky for 16 years and I loved him, but he was very energetic and would run any chance he could get. Of all the dogs I have had, my favorite is one of the one's I have now, an Australian Blue Heeler. Best trained and loyal dog I have ever had. I take him camping with me all the time.

Very big and if the Bengals can win this week, they may be in good shape. I am not a big Tebow fan but the keeps winning.
