  1. I have been trying to keep up with this thread but may have missed something. Can someone clerify. Has this already passed and is now set in stone or is it going up to vote? If so when does it go to vote? If it goes to vote, will it go into affect this year?
  2. The Messenger tweeted out today and confirmed Shane Decker from Grayson Co. is Hopkins County Central's New Coach So you can mark them off the list. Anyone have any word from Owensboro or who's applied for Mad. North Hopkins?
  3. The student part is important to colleges. Got to stay eligible and if a kid flunks out then that is in a sense a wasted scholarship because they would be banking on having a sophomore in that spot the upcoming year not having to give it to a new incoming freshman. I'd say best thing to do is walk on, prove yourself and try to get the scholarship after you proved you could make grades.
  4. There old facility produced some tough nosed kids. Sometimes working in the pits (run down and shambled weight rooms) provide an element of toughness that some teams loose once they get treated to a life of luxury. Hopefully for them this won't be the case.
  5. Hopkins Co. Central. The name I heard today is Shane Decker. From what I gathered he has been with Ed Smart at Grayson County for several years. Can't confirm as the school hasn't made a public announcement yet but have been told he's already down there doing off-season workouts. Still not hearing much out of the Madisonville-North Hopkins.
  6. Madisonville-North Hopkins posted officially yesterday. Taking applications until February 24 so by the time they interview and all that probably looking at first of March to mid-March before something being announced. Heard Hopkins Co. Central has there guy in place just waiting to make the official announcement.
  7. Just saw on twitter where's its Greenwood d coordinator Justin Chaffin.
  8. DC would miss out on an excellent coach if they passed on Smart. That said I would love to see what he could do with the athletes that Owensboro has year in and year out. Not sure what Owensboro has coming back but just the fact that are familiar with his offense would mean he could hit the ground running.
  9. Anyone even know the names of those who interviewed? Wasn't Greenwood's D-coordinator at East once? He in the Mix?
  10. Good Job but opposite district will be brutal. Warren Central, Franklin-Simpson, Warren East, South Warren will make it tough sledding year in and year out to get out of the Region. Right person should be able to get some wins though.
