East Jesamine advances to the semifinals to face Boyle County on Monday at Pulaski County.

Sounds like East really found another gear in the 2nd half. They were my pick to win the region after seeing them earlier and I still feel that way.

East is going to lose Monday.

First time I have seen East Jessamine, I was impressed, they will certainly be a tough out. Congrats to Boyle and East Jessmine on advancing.

It should be a great game on Monday. Last time they met it was. I expect the same Monday.

Did Boyle play any zone against them in their earlier matchup? they sure got into the lane pretty easy against Wayne. After seeing East play I can see why some on here have picked them to win the region, they play very hard, they seem to play with as much energy in the fourth quarter as the do in the first quarter. Should be a fun game to watch.

The final score of the first game was 55-53. The shot to tie was made a hair after the buzzer sounded. We were up by 4 with about a minute or so to play and completely collapsed in the final minute. That won't happen again.

I'm rooting for you guys but I don't think Boyle can keep this game in the 50's. I think that is what they have to do to win.

I agree for Boyle to have a chance it has to be a grind game with the scores in 50's. I think the way East goes up and down it will be a high 60's or 70's game. I still think East will Win Regional. We'll see!!

I think it is all about matchups with East. I have seen them twice in the last week and while I obviously don't think they will beat Boyle on Monday I don't think they can beat Southwestern or Pulaski either. East has little to no size at all and want to play fast and run all night. Control the tempo and the control the paint on defense and offense and East is beatable.

That may be true but so far no 12th Region team has managed to do it. East is 16-0 vs 12th Region teams and only has 4 losses all season--controlling tempo is easier said than done against them.

We controlled it last time but gave them the game in the last minute. This game suits the way we play and the way we want to play. We are not going to even begin to attempt to run with them. That's not what we do. Had Wayne kept up their game plan and not panicked that game wouldn't have gotten out of hand. They panicked and began forcing up awful shots without any attempt to run their offense. We will run our offense. We will dictate the tempo.

 

Their 16-0 record against the 12th region doesn't mean a thing anymore either. We just won 6 games against 12th region teams but we'll be in the building at 6pm on Monday. Just like East. We'll be ready. We believe.
