"Act of Valor" Premiers Tonight

Was a pretty good movie. Intense, you knew pretty much every thing that was going to happen before it happened but it was still pretty good.

As far as a movie goes I didn't think it was that great to be honest. It was a fictional portayal of events that are probably losely based off real life events but that enough was enough to kind of turn me off of it. Only reason I went to see it in theatres is because it was my buddy's birthday. I think that the previews were meant to make it something that you could believe was almost real while you were watching it but I knew it wasn't and so for me that kind of spoiled it I guess.

Loved this movie. Scenes were based on actual missions that were performed by Navy Seals. I give it a big ole two thumbs up.

I never went to see this in the theater and I wish I would have. I finally got around to seeing it last night.

I am amazed at the logistical timing that they potrayed on several of the missions. It was funny because the dialogue between the foreigners/terrorists was definitely better acting, but being that those were real Navy Seals, I thought they did a good job and it didn't take away from the movie for me. The ending gave me total chills.

Anyone else catch it, now that it is on DVD?

Not yet, it's at the top of my Blockbuster list.

Despite my previous critique I will say that the ending was hard to sit through comfortably in the movie theatre, I saw it the day after it opened so pretty much every one in the theatre was seeing it for the first time.
