Holmes 53 Pendleton County 48

This game was nuts. Pendleton dominated for 28 minutes. It looked like they were going to beat Holmes by 25. They were up 19 in the third quarter, and 15 with 5 minutes to go in the game. Number 3 for Holmes hit 4 threes in the last four minutes, and Dontel Rice sealed the game at the line. I'm still in shock of how Pendleton blew this game. I blinked, and the tide had turned. I loved what I saw for three and a half quarters out of Pendleton. They kept Rice quiet, Monroe distributed the ball nicely, and I loved the way the guards rebounded. Holmes shot an incredible number of three's, making only three until the final four minutes, in which they couldn't miss.

Tonight was Pendleton's senior night. Congrats to seniors Gabe Antrobus, Jared Rering, Erik Singleton, and Bryan Woods.

Pendleton scoring

Ethan Moore 15 pts, 5 reb

Jared Rering 6 pts

Gabe Antrobus 8 pts, 4 reb

Garrett Appleman 3 pts

Mason Monroe 14 pts, 8 reb

Bryan Woods 2 pts, 8 reb

Awesome game though PC owned the first half, Holmes owned the second...Holmes trailed by as much as 20 in the second half and comes back and wins...Holmes press is nearly impossible to beat and they went to it in the second half after finally getting hot from 3...The frosh Bolden with 11the big points in the 4th alone, kid should start for Martin or Engleman he is clearly Holmes best player other than Rice...Put Bolden at PG and move Palmer and Coston off the ball and Imo Holmes has the best chance of winning...

From what I was told Holmes could not have played any worse in the first half and early into the second half. They could not make a shot from outside or inside the arc, and PC packed in their zone in an attempt to contain Rice.

Heard good things about Pendleton's point guard, Monroe I think it the name.

Good to see the Bulldogs roar back to win it.
