Things that you know nothing about

I have a lot of people who tell me that I know a little something about everything...and I mean a LOT of people tell me that. When I come across something I don't really know much about, I'll generally start researching a little on it as a broad scope...then if I don't find much interest in it, I'll give up on it. That being said, it's honestly kind of tough for me to come up with things that I know "nothing" about.

Oh, and just for the record...I'm pretty much unstoppable at Trivial Pursuit.

I think we could get a pretty killer game going on. I'm the same way in that I tend to research things I don't know much about.

I always like to learn new things. I usually try to learn a little bit about things I'm unfamiliar with when I can. With that said I have an inveterate fear of numbers and doing things with them. I poked around on Khan Academy a little bit to try to bump up my knowledge, but lost interest pretty quick.

I'd like to know a lot more about architecture. I bought a book on it, but it ended up being extremely philosophical, which is fine, but I still can't tell you a whole lot about architecture.

I don't know a lot about the "fine arts." I don't know much classical music, for instance. There are a few artists (painters, sculptors, etc.) whose work I like and am familiar with, but I really can't say much about any of the rest of it.

I've long been a player of bar trivia. The "fine arts" -- especially opera -- always gives me the most trouble. Until the members moved away, my longtime trivia team had a very anti-BGP-friendly name for those categories. Which we would often write at the end of the answer upon turning it in, but it is all in fun as I know the host quite well.

Having said that, I DVR and religously watch Jeopardy which I'm sure everyone who follows me on Twitter knows. I REALLY like trivia and learning about new things. There are very few things I have a have a desire to know nothing about.

This. If I hear about something or someone's talking about something I don't know or understand...I'll be on the hunt for more info. As my mom used to say....I'm a jack of all trades, master of none. :D Things like car issues, I've learned out of necessity. Kind of proud I can say I've changed my own distributor cap, given my own cars tune ups and reattached my own exhaust system. :D On the other hand, now that I can afford it, I take my car in to have those things done.

It will be like 10:45 and Former is tweeting about Joepardy.

This is a hard question I know a little bit about everything. :D

I will say, my absolutely weakest point is economics. I live a simple life...earn my check, pay my bills, and hope there's some left over. When some of you start talking about indicators, stocks, gosh...all kinds of stuff...I try to stay with you. But, I'll just flat out admit it....I usually wind up glassy-eyed before it's all said and done.

My lack of car knowledge can probably better be explained in that, I hate to work on my car or do anything with it so if I have the money I just drop it off and pay for it later. But now that I've put some thought into it, I actually do know how to do quite a bit with cars. Plus, I worked at a repo place for awhile, so if my car breaks I can just go get another.

Movies. I used to watch every single movie at the theater and now I seldom go or watch any. I maybe average watching 1 movie a month.
A couple of weeks ago, I went to a movie. It was the first time I'd been to one since July of 1983 -- Superman III.

I have a much better answer now that I'm thinking about trivia. Last week a friend text me and asked if I knew anything about Dr. Who. The bar she plays trivia at has a lot of questions pertaining to it and it foils them week-after-week. Unless the question is one of these two things I am lost.

1. Name the two BGP members who absolutely love Dr. Who.

2. In what country is Dr. Who originally aired.

I get that way about politics sometimes but that's mostly because I am so tired of hearing about it.
