October 6, 201213 yr Congrats eku. Sorry I didn't follow as I should. I think I learned my lesson that I can only pay attention to one league at a time. I always try to limit myself to just two leagues in football and baseball. Invariably, when I add that third league, one of them always suffers (such as this one, where no matter what I did, I couldn't get out of my rut of being somewhere between 4th and 6th).

October 6, 201213 yr THE VICTORY POST WILL NOW BEGIN: 8 months ago in late March the Autodrafted Longshots were created on that fateful draft night. The owner was unable to attend because of cirumstances beyong his control and autodrafting GM did a poor job and was immediately relieved of his duties on the next day. Among the draft day blunders was the drafting of not a single closer and approximately drafting nine hundred and eighty-seven starting pitchers, very sound strategy :ohbrother: Some notable picks were: Round 2 pick 13 Roy Halladay Round 5 pick 48 Nelson Cruz Round 8 pick 73 Ian Kennedy Rounds 9 and 10 Jason Werth and Daniel Hudson Round 11 Matt Garza Others: Alex Avila, Cory Luebke, Drew frickin' Stubbs, Anibal Sanchez, Scott Baker, Daniel Bard and Chris Carpenter. Of all the guys listed approximately half of them spent MAJOR time on the DL, some didn't even cut it in AAA (see Bard, Daniel), some didn't pitch until September (see Carpenter, Chris), some suck at life in general, (see Stubbs, Drew). As a matter of fact if you want a good laugh, go to page 4 of this thread and start reading the post draft comments, quality entertainment (and if you look close enough you will see a fantasy mastermind at work :notworthy:). With his roster in shambles EKUBUM had to step up and take control. Through the course of the first few months of the season he started to revamp his entire roster. Trade after trade, cut and pick up after cut and pick up until he assembled what he thought could be a competitive team. Not a single manager in the league was safe from constant trade proposals and message board bombardments as the bum stepped up his game. One by one, player by player, sucker gm after sucker gm, something miraculous started to occur. The bums started moving up the standings. On June the 6th the league was officially over. The Long Shots took first place for good, and for the next 4 months would do nothing but build that lead, day after day, finishing a mere 4 points from the perfect score. In conclusion I would like to say thank you to all the other GM’s in the league for your inadequacies as fantasy baseball team owners, I appreciate all that you did to ensure your overall suckiness. I’d also like to thank Mike Trout and RA Dickey, for without you my season would not have been as enjoyable. I’d like that thank my mom and dad for bringing me into this world and instilling sports as a part of life. I’d like to thank my wife for putting up with my insane sports love and fantasy sports hobbies.
