Talk about keeping things up to date.

 

He has Letcher Central rated # 11 in the 14th region.

Whitesburg is 14th.

Fleming Neon is 18th.

 

The only problem is that Letcher High, Whitesburg, and Fleming Neon all consolated last year to form Letcher County Central. These schools no longer exist.

 

It's little wonder that I put more merit into the Cantrall Ratngs than I do Litkenhouse.

They didn't know those schools had merged. They couldn't see over the mountains to notice that. You would have to actually drive into eastern ky to pick up on those things. I dunno? I didn't notice Car Creek in the 14th either. They shouldn't discriminate! :laugh:

While this poll is apparently not the most accurate thing in the world, does it effectively represent the strength of each region? Is Region 11 the best in KY? The poll certainly thinks so...as an out-of-stater, I'd love to hear your opinions.

According to this poll, the Sacramento Kings are just a few points ahead of the Atlanta Falcons who beat the New York Yankees by 2 touchdowns in extra innings but the Kings lost to the Detroit Red Wings on a last second 3 run homer but the Red Wings lost to the Yankees by 35 points, so how can the Kings be ranked ahead of the Yankees. "I can't make heads nor tails out of these rankings."

I think it would be safe to say that you are hearing our opinions very clearly...

 

Which begs two other questions -

1) Who in the world is paying Litkenhous (if, indeed, it is an individual) to compile these "rankings"?

2) Why would anyone bother to publish a rating system that is so far out of touch with reality?

 

In all honesty, someone could list the high schools in the state in alphabetical order, call the list a "ranking system", and be at least as accurate (if not more so) as this compost pile.
