An interesting take on Bud Selig

I've heard LaRussa's name thrown in there. I think he would do a good job.

Would his memos from the commissioner's office be titled "Doubleday's Whiner Report?"

Doubleday's championships report.

Y'know, I wouldn't mind George Will. I think he presents an interesting balance as an economic conservative who would appeal to owners while also being a diehard fan and student of the game who would be able to look at the big picture.

Anybody in on this "outside-the-box" candidate?

Why?

IDK just something about him, the way he presents him self as if he is Mr. Baseball and Mr. Sports. He just rubs me the wrong way and his commentary is not very good IMO.

Bud Selig is one of the most overpaid execs in major league sports. The way he handled the whole steroid issue is a clear indication of his inability to run a major sport. He does just what the owners want him to do. Why do think the rest of the owners want "puppet-boy" to stay in the postion longer?
