Final in Conner Holiday tournament!

Nice! Again, congrats to Coach Stamm, Coach Clary and the Lady Cougars.

On, on to victory!

It looked like the old scenario, live by the three die by the three. Conner couldn't buy a 3 today but it wasn't for lack of trying. Maybe one three which came late in the game. Conner trailed all the way and took the lead late to win the first ever Conner Holiday Tournament.

This was the tale of two halves. NewCath up 25-16, NewCath's Nikki Kiernen with 16. Second half the Breds turned into "Mares", completely out of synch, couldn't buy a basket, missed entirely too many free throws and overall played very uninspired basketball. Hats off to Conner for not giving up and holding the Mares, I mean Breds, to only 2 4th quarter points. If I were coach Dawn sprints and free throws would be the order of the rest of the evening, as well as, bright and early for the next few mornings until the this team decides it wants to play NewCath basketball.

Conner played really well all week. They persevered today, when they weren't shooting well at all. Great job by the Lady Cougars and the staff.

Congrats to the Lady Cougars, Coach Stamm and his staff. I have seen the Lady Cougars play 3 times now and I believe they have to be in the discussion for 9th Region contenders. They have some very talented players with nice depth off the bench. Well done girls, keep it rollin.

Congrats on a great win, and congrats to Coach Stamm, Coach Clary and staff. I believe Conner is one of the top 4 teams in the region, it will definitely be fun to watch to see which two teams make it out of that district.

No question. There will be a very good team left out of the Regional tournament.

Agreed after the way they played this week. My question is can they beat Ryle and/or Boone? Unfortunately one of those three teams will not make it out of their distict to be a contender in the 9th Region tournament.
