Rowan County 74 Dixie Heights 71 2OT

#8 Vikings prevail in double overtime in the KOB per the scoreboard.

Another tough loss for Dixie in the KOB.

Dixie led this one by 11 after 3 qtrs. only to see Rowan go on a run and send it into OT.

Stansberry with 27 and Hatton 23 for Dixie.

Townsend had 32 for Rowan including 16 in the 2 OT's.

How is the Fox kid playing?

He's solid....still tweeking early in the season but he should pick up steam as the season goes along.

When he figures out how explosive he can be going to the basket his ppg will go up.

Had a real nice perimeter game against White Station with 5 trey's.

What a gutsy performance by Stansberry, 27 points with a broken nose!

I concur. He does not take advantage of his physical size and athletic ability.

Are his eyes black and blue? The shot he took was HARD!

I agree as Well. He is light on his feet and could take his man many times but seems hesitant. As he plays more with those guys his swagger will improve and we may see it.

Three straight losses for the Colonels, what does this do for their psyche going forward?

IMO. Good to get out and play other top teams from across the state and see what they have to work on.....they can build off of these losses and prepare them for the post season.

W/L's right now against top competition aren't as important as competing hard and making adjustments moving forward. The schedule was made out in anticipation of Pike playing this year.

Next week they travel to New York to play some top teams in the nation so don't look for a stellar record out of Dixie in December. I'm anticipating that they'll get on a roll after the first of the year.
