Final from Alexandria.

Ruthsatz had 22 points and 8 rebounds.

I think Hayden had double figures in boards.

Nate McGovney led the Camels with 29 points.

Colonels improve to 6-3.

Nice 3-0 week for the Colonels.

Ruthsatz averaged 23 ppg for the week.

How did the freshman and JV do?

What the stats don't show is Brandon Ward playing some good "D" on McGovney! Now I know some are going to say, what "D' but Ward did a great job on him on his time on the outstanding Camel player.

Another player who played well for CovCath was Sawyer Pauly who had 10 boards and 4 points.

Ryan Hayden indeed had a double/double with 10 points and 13 rebounds and another great outing.

The CovCath Freshmen blew out the Campbell County Freshmen but the scoreboard will show only a 53-43 victory as Coach Stevens cleared his bench at the end of the 3rd quarter. CovCath had a 50-28 lead after the end of the third quarter and a 34-19 lead at half time.

Tip of Theoldguy hat to #42 Sam Murrer who seemed to own the boards and had 7 rebounds in his minutes on the floor.

Bo Schuh 16

Matt Shumate 12

Sam Murrer 5 and 7 rebounds.

The Freshmen improve their record to 8-0 and next play Winton Woods on Wednesday at Winton Woods

The JV Colonels also won their game tonight by a score of 52-32 over Campbell County behind Mark Schult 10 and Brian Radcliff 9 points.

Congratulations to the Colonels. Rebounding was the difference in the game in my opinion. I saw you TOG, you were busy when I went by.

Basketball isn't like Baseball, far too busy to talk during a game but indeed I am sorry I missed talking to you! Have a Merry Christmas my friend.

Your #10 McCoveny is indeed one of the best players I have have had the pleasure to watch this season, outstanding!

BTW not forgetting Nick Ruthsatz at all! Another great night by the young man with 22 points, 8 boards and 5 assists . I just wish the Public Address Announcer would announce his name correctly! The Campbell announcer just butchered his name!

Nate can get to the rim pretty much when ever he wants. Great job young man!!!

The CovCath improves their record 6-2 .

Unless you filed a TOG protest for the Pendleton game they are 6-3.

I'm just curious what the Colonels record would be if the Ruthsatz hadn't come to town.

This kid is clearly carrying the Colonels, how much is he averaging a game compared to the Colonels as a team?

Nice win and nice season thus far. It's too bad McGovney doesn't have another blue chipper to play alongside. He could be the Best player in NKY.

No question they're a different team without Ruthsatz.

McGovney is legit .

Besides the aforementioned point guard from Park Hills - who by the way is a stud - Who's better than McGovney this early in the season in NKY? I haven't seen Hightchew, Towles, Chambers, Saunders, or anyone from Holy Cross and Holmes, but who is playing better? He carries the Camels on his back. He scores 29 and the total team score is 51 tonight. I mean I guess he could've gotten 36 to secure the W.

Nope, no need to file a protest but the reference was to the JV team being 6-2. Notice it was at the end of my update of the JV game....

You are forgiven but indeed I should have said the CovCath JV are now 6-2.........

The only other player (that is if you want to include them in NKy) is Mason Monroe from PC and if I had to choose one over the other, I would pick Campbell County McGovney, over PC Monroe!
