Nice half by Hazard. Mayfield needs Guhy to make some plays. Jonathon Jackson looked to me like he saved some energy that half. Let's see what he looks like in the second half.

Not necessarily saying that is the strategy but that is the way it looks.

 

This game reminds me Beechwood's 14-7 2008 title win over Hazard. That game was close but I never thought Beechwood would lose. Simillarly, I still fully expect Mayfield to win this one and it is more a matter of how they are going to do it.

Hazard did a really good job of containing the run. Guhy looked like he was rushing a little and underthrowing some balls, although they did have a few nice passing plays. Both defenses looked pretty good with exception of a couple of breakdowns. Should be a good 2nd half.

Jackson had 8 carries for 10 yards in the first half.

Hazard just needs to keep doing what they have been doing in the second half.
