Hard for me to pick. I've not seen any of these teams play this year and only saw a handful last year. I just wonder how these state wide/ national polls hold any water.

Polls which rank sports teams really need to be done the first time about a month, maybe month-and-a-half into the season. Teams can be rated based on their performance to date and be more fairly evaluated.

 

In my opinion, polls are taken for pre-season rankings just as something for sports fans to talk about.

Heck, I don't even know which teams are in Regions 6 and 7 now ...

Not to worry, they were beaten at the Fast Lane Classic by Bullitt East. They'll benefit from the addition of their footballers, but they are far from the machine the football squad is. As a matter of fact, I'll be surprised if they make it out of that region. Not saying that they aren't favored, but that region is a gauntlet. One bad shooting night can sink you with that competition.

Dixie should be in the top 10 and JTown is too high.

I will let you know after Dec 13th matchup vs the Birds. I am not going to read into the game tonight so much except to say that they need help in the post. Hatton apparently was off tonight and Fox got in early foul trouble. I dont think they have the depth to make a deep run even if they get to Rupp. I do think Hatton can lead them there though.
