Bracken County vs. Pendleton County predictions - Dec. 2

Featured Replies

How are both teams this season, especially PC which I know little about? Is this game part of a doubleheader, who plays the first game, if so? thanks.

Pendleton boys will win...if its a DH I'll take Bracken Co. Girls.

Pendletons boys play Scott at home on the 2nd, the girls do play Bracken at 8. Pendleton is young this season but have some quality shooters and defenders....

Bracken's sophomores will determine their overall success for the season. As freshmen, they did very well at times (District Tourney) and then showed their youth at other times (Regional Tourney). Sticklen is the best player on the team & in the region, but it's the sophomores who will determine how deep of a run they make. All of this assuming no injuries, of course.

As for this game, I'll take Bracken over Pendleton. Probably will be a sloppy game, with it being the first regular season outing for both squads.

I will pick Pendleton Girls. I think Bracken will look past this game.

I think PC Girls will probably struggle. Isnt the Wolfe girl the only player back with major varsity minutes?

I believe so. They do have some talented freshman that will be playing varsity this season...a couple really good shooters.

No. Heather Jolley is their center--a junior. Has a lot of size & potential. Good player.

there is only one senior on the varsity I think..and two freshmen starting varsity I believe

No chance PK will have his team ready.

That may be correct, but the comment I was responding to was about Wolfe being the only returning player with meaningful varsity experience. She's not the only one.

The stats I seen from last year showed Jolley saw about 10 minutes a game. She also played JV. Just saying.

Don't know about the stats, but I do know people around the PC program & have a little knowledge of them myself. I'm not disputing the 10 mpg, but it doesn't change my opinion. 10 mpg is roughly a third of a game which is pretty good for a sophomore on a team laden with juniors & seniors, which is what PC was last year.

Pendleton is going to be an interesting team to follow over the course of the year. There's a chance they could be what Bracken was last year--a squad that everyone overlooks because of mass departures from the year before. I sense a lot of positive vibes from people closest to the program.
