I believe Joker will get another season. I am not convinced he is going to take UK in the direction of a continually bowl eligible program, but my opinion is meaningless of course. Having said that, the attendance at the games would lead me to believe someone would be taking notice and be displeased.

 

What was the attendance yesterday? If it has been addressed I apologize as I didn't see it.

You think so, 5Wide? If so, then Joker will have earned his money. I value your opinion so I'll see how they play the rest of the season. They don't have to win. Just compete. Beating the one SEC team that is worse than UK is fine. I will see how they finish the season before I attack Joker again though. I can refrain. For now.

 

I was hoping for another bowl season. I definitely didn't think it was as likely as past years with the losses of Cobb, Locke and Hartline. Newton has never impressed me, so I felt like the offense would struggle. But, for me, the disappointment was just how abysmal they were. I can live how they've played the last 3 weeks. I'm not content with that every year, but every team has some ups and downs.

 

Bottom line: I can live with this being a down year if they compete and show some promise and potential. That wasn't the case early, but they've shown something the last few games.

 

I've been critical of Joker, and I think he deserved it for how poorly the team played for the first half of the year. I don't think he was ever going to get fired. I believe he would have been back for a third season regardless. I do think this season has put some pressure on him to perform better next year though.

It looks like HT was correct that Nutt is done. Supposedly, he will finish the season and then be out.

Newton had the experince. not much but he had to be the man. Wally Pipps comes into play here and Max played very well and deserves a chance to play more. he will only improve.

 

Newton just had his chances and has not played as well as he can. As for the running back same thing, you play who can help you win, you win and you keep working.
