We played Raceland in the grid, and Russell two weeks ago. I know Raceland has improved from the first of the season. Russell players hate to lose and hung half a hundred on East Carter this past week. Neither team is perfect, and they both have things to work on (not much though). Should be a great game

Glad to hear from one that has played both. I will say however that judging Raceland, or any team for that matter by a pre season grid o rama may not be the best way. A grid is a scrimmage, thats all. Raceland probably was trying different looks, kids in different positions, will run sets that are not even in the offense just to give other schools something else to prepare for. Raceland has never shown anything in a Grid. BTW....Congrats again on your win over Russell. :thumb:

In the grid game two of our best players didn't dress. IMO our best runningback and defensive back. And our maybe fastest and best receiver/D-back/runningback. This surly would have made a big difference in that game.

I bet the RAMS hate to lose just as bad. But I think I know what you are trying to say. Should be a great game.

No doubt we will have to go out and play our best to beat the devils. And I for one believe it will happen.

RAMS +8. I think the coaching staff seen a few things last week that they liked and will use this friday night.

In this case, I think it is a toss up on paper as well as on the field. I don't see this score being lop-sided either way. It's a prediction thread, so I picked Russell by 2. Either way, both teams are likely playing football for a couple more weeks after the regular season. That is a nice feeling...one that I hope the Lions will be feeling as well!!

:thumb: I agree, there have been plenty of games that "on paper" Raceland didn't have a chance and won. They don't play the games on paper!
