Kids dont get full rides for athletics, maybe after academic and financial aid kicks in. Play some teams out of the 9th region which is the weakest in the state except for the Boone Co teams Ryle Conner, Walton, Boone Co, St Henry. Play in a tourney in the Western

part of the state. I know for sure Ryle and Walton travel and play agaisnt some of the best pitchers in the state.

 

Are you sure about that bc I am 100% sure Moran has a full athletic ride to Radford. She also had nourmous really nice offers from other schools at or close to a 100%.

 

Can't control what the high school team does. But can in travel, this summmer and fall she will play in Premier Nationals in Huntingon Beach CA, in Bolder CO, Chicago several times, Disney, Mississippi and Indy and that is just to name a few. All and by the way she hit over .400 in travel.

 

Not sure but I think that is a little bit better than some HS tourney in the western part of the state. Also Ky produces a couple good players though out the state but there is not a lot of good teams anywhere in the state. And yes the western part of the state is better than NKY.

 

Does Walton play some great schedule every year? When you break it down I am sure its about the same. I am not knocking WV at all, I would love to have my daughter on a HS team like that but not every school cares about softball.

If you dont know who Ginn and Gregg play for than you may not be in tune with NKY fastpitch. Ginn is only

53 hits shy of the all time hits leader in Ky. Ginn has been 1st team all state 2 yrs in a row, 8th region POY 2011, member of the East West all star team, and voted

Section 2 Regions 5-8 POY. Gregg has just committed to play at Bowling Green St.

 

I don't think you will find anyone who says that Ginn and Gregg are not really good players. WV is very lucky to have them both.

Moran is the best position player in the region, but with Hermann and Beth allowing her to come and go for a select sport instead of the school sport - well that just leads to trouble and puts the coach in a bad situation. It can't be received well by the rest of the team members who are there all the time. I would say dedicate yourself to the school sport or don't play, regardless of how good you may be. Just ask Meier - starters were benched after choosing club volleyball and other activities over NDA softball and he's not coaching there anymore. NDA has a new coach and returns 8 starters, including both pitchers, from the District championship team - 7 sophs and 1 junior - so I still give them the nod as the "best team". HC and Holmes have a couple good/great players but not enough to make up the difference. JMO :popcorn:

Have they verballed for softball? If all these players from HC are good enough to play college ball, one would assume that they could beat someone other than Beechwood.
