The only way NDA will dominate the district for years to come is if they get a stud pitcher come to there school. If Holy Cross's #1 pitcher is able to come back from injury and pitch they should win the district fairly easy. Not that it is saying much bc NDA, Holmes, Beechwood and HC are all really bad teams and have no shot at the region.

 

Beechwood has no chance at all. How is HC going to win it fairly easy if some of there good ones are not even coming back. The championship game last year was played back to back. I saw it myself even. Holmes had to play beechwood then after they won that game they had to turn right back around and play notre dame.

I like Cupp a lot and think a lot of her. As far as Holmes going to the regions 9 straight years that might be true but they are in one of the weakest regions in the state. How many games have they won in the regions over those last 9 years? My guess would be less than 5.

I agree with you about the region. But the thing with Cupp is that she is on a team with players that are less experienced and less dedicated then she is.

Neither are pitchers but Grace Herrman is the other position player. She catches and playes other positions, she has played high level travel ball in the past but mainly plays soccer now.

I even heard that she wasn't going to play softball last year and the coach talked her into playing, but allowed her to leave early and/or miss practices and games for select soccer. If she was as serious about softball the way she is about soccer she would definitely be one of the best in NKY, IMO.

I also think that Boone County has a very good catcher and short stop that will be considered one of the best combos in the region.

You must get around bc the Doom 95 team hasn't played in Cincy or NKY in years besides a little in the fall.

 

By no means am I trying to say the HC pitcher is great but she is good enough to keep them in some games. Last year they had zero pitching and couldn't compete with anybody.

Didn't the Doom 95 play the summer before last in 2010. I thought that was the last year that Grace played travel ball. Additionally I have been following travel ball for quite a few years.

 

If the HC pitcher can throw strikes and keep it low she will be good, at least within the district. I just didn't know of any other pitchers in the district that I can compare her to. Are you aware of any?

If HC would step their schedule up a bit it would help Moran out if she is so good. hitting 600 it must be slow pitch

Ill take Ginn SS and Gregg CF as best 1-2 combo in area
