True, But Joker is under fire. So it makes it look like UL is in much better shape than UK. And they may be. Just a thought.

Won a bowl game his first year and has secured two very talented recruiting classes. It's also apparent that this year's team, despite how bad the offense is, really want to win. For three years, Louisville fans didn't know what that looked like as we watched the players flat-out quit on their coach. A coach having that effect on his players seems to me an important factor in future success. I don't know whether that's enough, but I agree with the notions that it's about giving off the appearance of stability as Louisville looks for its place in the conference realignment nightmare.

Just plays into the "all you gotta do is beat UK mentality".

It's also apparent that this year's team...really want to win.

 

Well that's a relief.

^ It's something that couldn't be said under the previous coach. They quit on him and it was obvious.

What was Petrino making when he left UL?

^ $1.6 million/year but on a sliding scale. He'd have made $2.6 million in the final year if he'd stayed through the entire contract.
