Not sure what to think about this couple doing this. Shouldnt there be a law against parents doing this? I know this is a huge debate for religion on why homosexual couples shouldnt have kids, but it is a small % like this I hope.

The fact that his parent's are homosexual isn't a factor IMO.

 

From the article it sounds like Tommy (or Tammy) is the one driving this, not the parents.

With all due respect the "parents" are nuts and the child should be removed from their custody (and yes I would feel the same way if it was a traditional family). They say that the child started saying he was a girl at age 3 and give that as reason for doing this. Raise the child as a boy which is it's biological sex and then when he's and adult if he wants to self mutilate and have the surgery go for it.

The kid is not sure of his gender? Isn't that already obvious?

I didn't read the whole thing. My appologies. That definitely puts a different twist on it. Tough situation.

Okay, that was poorly worded, what I meant is "why would someone think that?".

 

It's not like the parents were telling him he was a girl. I think for someone to think that the parents being homosexual is playing a role in this would have to be of the belief that homosexuality is a choice. :idunno:

I assumed that is what you meant. It is interesting digging up with the psychology as to why children can obtain these disorders and what may trigger it.

I am torn between the homosexual argument as to if they are born like that. If a person can develop a gender identity disorder-and I would think most people do actually think there is such a thing- why can't a person develop a similar disorder which makes them homosexual? I don't want to sway off the main topic but I am more-or-less paralleling the two.
