He was a starting cornerback for the varsity and was the JV QB at the time of his injury. I think he will be an improvement over a freshman who has only been with the team for 6 weeks.

I heard from some players that their 2nd team QB may return this week if he gets clearance from the doctors.

 

Pelgen was playing extremely well before he went down with a shoulder injury.

 

Pelgen not taking any snaps this week Brossart will go with Frosh again.

Does it really matter? Not being nasty just saying based on comments as to how the freshman is playing

Is the Pelgen kid out for the year? I have seen him play and he could develop into a great player for Brossart in years to come.

 

However, I am going to take Walton in this one. I know that Brossart is struggling and Walton has been pretty solid all year.

Pelgen was cleared to play but with only 2 games left in season coaches didn't want to risk him getting re-injured. Young man also plays basketball. As far as the Freshmen QB's play i would say "it's about what you would think it would be from a freshmen playing at varsity level" no more no less. Brossarts chance will come down to their "D" they will have to create turnovers and make first chance tackles to stay in game.

walton already has there spot locked up for playoffs and really nothing to prove in this game, look for nothing but handoffs to many different players. i would guess starters are not going to risk injury.

I disagree somewhat. Both of these programs started the same year and this is an opportunity to show who has come further. I would think this game carries more meaning to these two teams than outsiders may realize.
