Brossart must have fought the good fight in this one. After a 38 point performance in their last game (Holy Cross) this is definitley an improvement for a team that still has a lot of question marks.

Looks as though they will be the stiffest test for the Wildcats from Falmouth again.

Read my latest post. This is varsity basketball now. With a team like Brossart had last year (senior dominated) there are bound to be some question marks with the younger guys coming in that are trying to figure out what their roles are. Go ahead and put them down, however realize that this team isn't even close to coming together yet. They will be there soon however.

Their juniors playing varisty now. LaSalle is a top 10 team in Ohio and Brossart could have beat them. Just a question, why put them down constantly for no reason? LaSalle would be a top 5 team in the state of KY. You constantly try to belittle the Mustangs for no apparent reason. Real classy...

LaSalle is not a very very good team. They will be lucky not to end up in last place in the GCL. Fleming does a great job but graduated alot of talent last year

Sorry to disagree with you Mustang, but wouldn't give them the automatic 10th Region crown. I do not believe that they are far superior than the Elder team either. Lasalle in my opinion was very athletic, but not that good as far as true basketball skills.

Since I haven't seen PC play yet and they seem to be doing quite well (understatement), and given that we saw Brossart (without Mutsch) and LaSalle compete toe to toe, I think you will have to agree that they (LaSalle) would certainly be 1-2-3 in the Tenth for sure.

 

Who's better between Elder and LaSalle will be determined as the season rolls along. It's kind of Apples and Oranges right now. I personally think the superior size and athleticism of LaSalle would be way to much for the Elder team that I saw play on Sunday.

 

LaSalle lost to St. X who was crushed by NCH so maybe the whole GCL is down this year - who knows??? I like to think our Mustangs would have fared pretty well against the Panthers but that's merely speculation.

# 4 ranked big school in Cincy and # 7 in the state!! Last in the GCL?? Two very athletic big men and some fine outside shooters. They are young and start no seniors, but not very good?? Do you actually ever watch any HS basketball??

Elder will probably beat them twice. But will definitely beat them once. Elder has a very fine team this year, with a very good sophomore in Rudolph. I am not saying that LaSalle is horrible. They have a good team. Last year they had a very, very good team.

Dude, I said the are not a "very, very good" team. They are a good team. But they are not "very, very" good. They may very well end up in last in the GCL. Losses to Moeller twice, X twice and Elder at least once if not twice. Who does that leave them to beat in the GCL. I believe Purcell is in the small school division. At least I think they have seperate division in basketball like football.
