Cathedral (IN) 26 Moeller (OH) 24

1. Trinity is THAT great...I've been saying this for weeks and was shot down to suggest that their fans should revel in this team and enjoy the weekly beat downs they are going to administer to teams. Whatever.

2. Ohio is WAY DOWN this year, no question. It is one of the worst years, across the state, I have seen in a long, long time. At the end of the season, no more than 1 OH team should be ranked in the top 25 in any national poll and they should probably fall somewhere in the 18-25 range.

It's sad that THIS Trinity team couldn't get the GCL teams in their better years. Beating them all this year really doesn't mean much. However, that's not to say it won't still benefit Trinity in their hunt for a National Title. Moeller is good enough, I think, to win the D1 crown so if they do, it will make T look all that much better.

Oh, and as an aside...my Cardinals have lost 5 starting Varsity players on offense including their best offensive weapon and their starting QB and are STILL sitting at 7-1 so I am pretty happy about that even though you still clearly enjoy beating on them....

...speaking of beating on them, when was the last time Highlands beat Colerain?? :D :sssh:

Seems like the same thing every year , as you would say " Ohio teams are down ". It didn't sound that way when the Moeller coach was asking his players if they wanted to shoot for a national title !!

As far as Colerain goes , I hate to see anybody get hurt anywhere but injuries are part of the game and I hope the injured players recover quickly.

When was the last time Highlands beat Colerain ? Never , but maybe it is a down year for your Cardinals , if you have to thump your chest for beating a co-ed school with 800 students.

It's not that way every year. Ohio has it's up years and it's down years. This year happens to be one of the worst down years I've seen in recent memory.

Moeller's coach is a bafoon. He has no idea how to handle this spotlight his team was under. It was stupid to make the comments he made and look what happened. If they come out and beat Cathedral, no one says a word. However, this is old hat for Moeller. They are a shell of the program that Faust and his team of recruiters built into a national power back when the Bee Gees were #1 on the charts.

The Colerain players will NOT recover quickly. They are both lost for the season. Thankfully, they are only Jr's so they still have next year. However, they have both lost invaluable learning and experience as Jr's.

And Highlands has never beaten Colerain...check. :thumb:

I know all about season ending injuries to players . My nephew had a torn ACL ,MCL and miniscus disc , sat out the rest of his junior year , and then came back as a senior to help whip Cincinnati X . In fact , he was on crutches at Highlands state game , one day after his surgery his junior year. Again a speedy recovery to the Colerain players.
