JBS 77 Prestonsburg 75

Featured Replies

No disrespect to JBS at all but they haven't played a 14th region team yet...after they beat a 14th region team AWAY from home then maybe you can talk about how good they are. They beat Prestonsburg at East Ridge so that isn't quite an away game, the only other game they have played away from home was Piarist. I want to see them play an away game in the 14th region before I will say they are a top team.

Who is in their district??

They are not a powerhouse but they are a very solid club.

They probably are a solid team but the way some talk on here they are the next state champs.

I think they play PCC @ PCC on the 10th of Jan. Breathitt on the 21st. I don't know from there.

Yes that is correct they also play Letcher Central on Febuary the 3rd in Whitesburg. Should be an interesting game.

Sounds like you think you might be the next State Champs. Breathitt almost got ya and they hadn't beat anybody . JBS has the next 3 years with the same team.

Um...my team hasn't played Breathitt yet...so I'm not sure what you are talking about there but what year is Stepp in?

stepp is a sophomore. jbs has a lot of talent but are very young. I have watched most teams play in the 14th and 15th this year and jbs can match up good with most teams. jbs must involve their 6'8" freshman more if they want to win against the top

teams in the area. they will probably lose some games they should win because of their youth. they must win some big games to gain some respect in the 14th,and this is the way it should be.

Prestonsburg has a lot of Seniors on their team. Shelby Valley only beat them by 1. You better believe JBS is for real.!! Stepp got 34 and Cox got 24. Now thats for Real!

This is the worst team Shelby Valley has had in YEARS, and they beat Prestonsburg by the same amount as JBS. Does that mean that SV is for real too!!!

I was thinking the same thing, sometimes weak teams make average teams look "for real."

JBS beat them by 2 . JBS had them down by 13 in the game and had them down by 9 in the overtime. Where did P'burg and SV play? JBS could have played them better at P'burg.

Wolfe is no great team and you have made the biggest deal out of beating them. So if your team beats a weak team it makes you look good?

Sorry about that. JBS still has 3 yrs. with Stepp, Cox , Collins, Howard and Hall.

JBS beat them by 2.

Oops, my bad... It's that one point difference that makes JBS "for real"...

Some stats to consider:

The teams that JBS has defeated have a record of 10-15. The team that JBS lost to has a record of 4-5. Not exactly a strong schedule to this point...

JBS is a top 5 team in the 14th and would be in the 15th. They beat Pikeville by 40, they also beat Pike Central and Sheldon Clark handily. They are not a powerhouse but they are a very solid club.

I haven't ever said they weren't a very solid club! And they may win the Region. Only time will tell. But just based on what they have done so far does not mean that they own the 15th Region. They haven't even played the best teams from the 15th Region. And beating Pikeville by 40 from what I have seen of Pikeville is not much different than beating David by 90. No offense meant toward those schools, but they are young and down this year!

That is the only point I was making to doubledribble.

We know, Paintsville is the best yada yada yada......................

Right Nothing But Net ?

At this point, NO footballfrenzy! Paintsville hasn't proven to me that they are the best in their district, let alone the region. I hope they do well, but they have a ways to go.
