gchs_uk9 Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 I'm still on the fence about Fort Campbell. They've lost several games, but they've all been to quality opponents. But of those losses, three of the four were by fairly substantial margins. I believe they are a good team, but I'm not sure where they should be ranked. And I'm also not sure who I would put ahead of them. Confusing!
UK fball fan Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Edmonson Co should be ahead of Ft Campbell. They've not played the schedule that Ft Campbell has, but, they've won convincingly with everyone put in front of them and that's all you can do..

Edmonson hasn't been tested and hasn't played anyone that would test Fort Campbell, either.
The Cerebral Assassin Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Frankly, I like to see teams that think they have a chance to do something play good teams. That seems to be the case with teams in several classes. I think I'd move Russell up the poll a notch. Their only losses have been to quality teams (Ironton, OH & Ashland).
gchs_uk9 Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I think I'd move Russell up the poll a notch. Their only losses have been to quality teams (Ironton, OH & Ashland). Who do they go ahead of? Those losses are to good teams, but their four wins aren't against anyone special. The team ahead of them has one loss (to 2A #4 Danville). The teams Garrard has beat have a combined record of 13-19 while the Russell victims are a combined 6-20 (with two of those wins coming against other teams Russell beat). Point being, it's sort of a mixed bag at the bottom of 3A. I believe Fort Campbell, Edmonson, Garrard, Russell and Corbin are all pretty equal. I think each of them could beat and be beaten by each other. When that is the case the only thing you can do is go to record and schedules, which is probably why Garrard is ahead of Russell right now.
