Fantasy Football Advice: Week 5

Featured Replies

I wouldn't give up Megatron for anything. He's just too good. He's a top 10 flex play every week, so no RB or WR would really get my attention besides someone like AP, DMC, Lesean, or Ray Rice...even Arian Foster. Looked like himself last week.

Pick 2 (one has to be a WR):

Steven Ridley vs. NYJ

Percy Harvin vs. Arizona

Santonio Holmes @ NE

Jonathon Stewart vs. NO

Ryan Grant @ Atlanta

I don't think I'd do it for Forte, honestly.

In my league, pretty standard scoring...

Darren McFadden - 82 points avg. 20.5

LsSean McCoy - 80.6 points avg. 20.2

Ray Rice - 77.9 poiints avg. 19.5

Matt Forte 75.4 points avg 18.9

Adrien Peterson - 60.5 points avg. 15.1

Arian Foster - Only really had one week with 22.6

Matt Forte is an elite level running back in this league and I think he's extremely underrated by many. He's one of the most consistent thrates that you'll find in my opinion.

Here's my RBs & WRs (I had Charles )

RB:

Darrin Sproles

LeGarrette Blount

Earnest Graham

Steven Ridley

Thomas Jones

Jonathon Stewart

Ryan Grant

WR:

Calvin Johnson

Santonio Holmes

DeMarius Moore

Percy Harvin

After seeing your players, its going to leave you really thin at WR. Really thin.

I'm pretty locked in now. Especially with my Dallas players on BYE. Really the only question is Ryan Mattews or McGahee. I'm probably going with Mathews. Do I even consider Schaub over Stafford? I might look to trade Schaub after Detroits bye

So far this year the Bears have a very weak passing Defense. I'd definitely start Stafford, especially with Andre Johnson being out. Might hurt Schaub's numbers.

I'd go Ryan Mathews as well.

Tought but I think I'd got Holmes, the Patriots D has been rough this year. And then Grant, just a gut feeling.

Pick one...

David Nelson vs. Philly

Nate Burleson vs. Chicago on MNF

I don't think I'd do it for Forte, honestly.

I countered with Johnson, Sproles, and Keller for Forte, Williams, and Finley...

Got one for ya:

Just got offered this trade

-I give up: Mark Ingram & Sidney Rice

-I get: Shonn Greene & Nate Washington

I have a stud RB in Ray Rice but I'm very weak at RB2. I've been playing Ingram but he hasn't developed like I'd hoped. My other RBs are Brandon Jacobs and Michael Bush, neither of which are starters. The WRs in the deal are totally irrelevant to me as my other 3 WRs are Mike Wallace, Dez Bryant, and Julio Jones, all of which I consider good to go. This trade was his response to me offering Sidney Rice for Shonn Greene straight up.

The "from this point forward" rankings I've been looking at indicate Greene as a superior player from this point forward, but I'd like to get the thoughts of BGP on it. I think Ingram is more of a talent but something is missing there. Something's missing in New York too as Greene hasn't exactly set the world on fire. Also, while I truly don't care about the WRs, I don't want to hand him a great deal there either. Though, to be honest, I think I'm getting the better of it.

What say you?

Tough call. Ingram's going to split carries with 2 other RB's(Thomas/Sproles) and possibly a third(Ivory) for the rest of the year. Green only has to worry about LT.

I'd probably do it.

How about this deal?

I give up Calvin Johnson and Darrin Sproles

I get Matt Forte and Mike Williams

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Megatron and Sproles will outscore Forte and Williams the rest of the year. Williams is not even close to performing like he did last year.

Bye weeks are killing my WR's this week, so don't laugh but...

Pick one...

David Nelson vs. Philly

Nate Burleson vs. Chicago on MNF

ESPN has Nelson projected to get 10.9 vs Burleson's 6.1, but I don't put a lot of stock in those projections.

Nelson
