The 2011 Ashland Invitational Boys Basketball Tournament field has been set.

 

Besides the Ashland Tomcats, the tournament will feature defending State Champion Christian County, state runner up Rowan County, state tournament qualifiers Warren Central and Clark County, Pendleton County, Woodford County and Lincoln County.

 

The brackets, dates and game times will be set at a later date.

Wish Jay Johnson could play. He tore his ACL this summer, so I don't expect him back this soon or maybe even for this year. He is a great player to watch. I believe he could have made a run at Mr. Basketball this year.

Not to threadjack, but what's his status concerning college ball? He's an obvious D-1 caliber player. His skill set is unbelievable. It was a sad day for all of Kentucky high school basketball the day he tore his ACL. He's a joy to watch.

These are the schools that have offered a scholly so far:Johnson has scholarship offers from Coastal Carolina, Morehead State and NKU.

 

Of course a school could pull the scholly. Morehead pulled Travis Purvis offer after he tore his ACL his sophomore year.
