So Its possiblle that the two Louisville teams and the Two Northern Ky teams will play eachother in the quarter finals of the bottom bracket which is loaded .

KyTmcNcc can you put some names with these regions? I am not the afficianado you are. Maybe the top one or two teams that are strong within the Region.

The only other option is seeding and that will never happen. If it doesn't happen for basketball it surely is not going to happen for volleyball.

That's the problem - everything is run like it's basketball around here. Volleyball is more predictable than basketball. Seed teams after they qualify based on coaches poll. Can't be worse than what happened this year.

I really don't have a horse in the race but if you are not number 1 what difference does it make to be put out by the eventual number 1 earlier in the tournament? Bragging about being anything other than the champ is meaningless.

I think when Assumption defeats Pikesvilleburg County from Region 15 by a final score of 25-2, 25-1 in the KY State Championship Game this year, while Mercy, Sacred Heart, both Holy Crosses', NDA, NCC, St. Henry, and anyone else you want to throw in there watches from the stands, there's something wrong.

Doesn't Notre Dame have to get past St. Henry first to win region 9?

Yes. They will.

NDA v St Henry is such an emotional game, SHDHS will be sky high for this match up. NDA should win but you just never know.

 

And unless you do a pure seeding (which in and of itself would cause WW3) a better team will always be watching from the stands then one on the floor.

Sure - maybe they get 1 or 2 wrong in seeding. But it's so clearly unbalanced now. 9 out of 10 on one side? That's way off. Re-draw.

If you use the coach's poll the coaches will somehow try to manipulate it. It's human nature.

 

There is no good way to seed. If you can't seed the only acceptable solution is the blind draw. Why does it matter who makes it to the finals to come in 2nd?
