Two rappers who will forever be linked, pick one.

My vote has changed over the years, but it's Notorious B.I.G. for me.

Easily Tupac for me but Biggie was great as well.

I totally agree.

Man.....that's tough. My vote has changed a lot over the years also. I need to think about it.

Mine has too. Ultimately the tiebreaker goes something like this for me:

Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis

When I was dead broke, man I couldn't picture this

50 inch screen, money green leather sofa

Got two rides, a limousine with a chauffeur

Phone bill about two G's flat

No need to worry, my accountant handles that

And my whole crew is loungin'

Celebratin' every day, no more public housin'

Thinkin' back on my one-room shack

Now my mom pimps a Ac' with minks on her back

And she loves to show me off, of course

Smiles every time my face is up in The Source

We used to fuss when the landlord dissed us

No heat, wonder why Christmas missed us

Birthdays was the worst days

Now we sip champagne when we thirst-ay...

^ One of the best songs of all time IMO. I think the 1st verse in my favorite.

Tupac all day, every day.

Plus, did Pac ever teach us anything like this?

#4, I know you heard this before...never get high on your own supply.

#5 Never sell no crack where you rest at, I don't care if they want an ounce, tell em to bounce...

Ice Cube said #4....I can't give Biggie credit for that one.

I despised Juicy and Hypnotize. Despise them to this day.

I loved everything else Biggie did.

Still trying to decide who I liked better.....may take a while.

Blasphemy.

Blasphemy.

I can see hating on Hypnotize (although I like it) but Juicy is BIG.

As for my vote, Pac of course, but Biggie is right up there. I used to never give Biggie a fair shake because I was such a Pac fan and I despise Puff Daddy, P. Diddy (whatever he wants to call himself these days). But Biggie truly is/was a great hip hop artist. To me though, even though both are legendary, Pac is on a whole another level IMO.

What are your issues with "Juicy"?
What are your issues with "Juicy"?

If you don't know, now you know...

I think Ready to Die is one of the top 10 albums in hip hop/rap history. I thought that Juicy and Ready to Die were the two weakest songs on the album. The fact that everyone loved Juicy so much and played it constantly grated me even more. I'll take Unbelievable, Suicidal Thoughts, Respect, Everyday Struggle, The What, Gimme the Loot and Machine Gun Funk over Juicy everytime. Big Poppa, The Warning....all better.

Same for Hypnotize. I Got a Story to Tell is arguably the best song on Life After Death, possibly one of Biggie's best ever, yet Hypnotize gets all the glory. Makes me sick.

Here's what always has bothered me about Biggie and Pac. IMO, Pac made some of his best music he was ever going to make before he was shot and, while he would've continued to make some really good music, I don't think Biggie ever got close to as good as he could've been.

I don't know why but Biggie seemed like he had more "upside" than Tupac. Again, IMO. Of course, I could be 100% incorrect on this..........
