It had to be just as wide. I just think this whole debate is goofy. We all know how superstitious and wacky many baseball players are. They find excuses and superstitions anywhere and everywhere to make excuses for their performance or lack thereof.
August 12, 201115 yr Every team I've ever been associated with would steal signs from second, it's been part of the game forever. If you have a problem with it, go to a indicator and be done with it. Funny story, playing a team from Texas once and we've got a guy on second, who giving signs to whoever was up. Shortstop is having none of this and starts kicking dirt at the guy on second pretty good. Third base coach gets involved then the Texas coaches get involved. Whole thing gets pretty messy for about 30 seconds. Gotta love the nuances of baseball.
