Clyde
Madyson Moran from Holy Cross verballed back in the spring to the 3 time Big South conference champions Radford Highlanders in VA. Radford has made the field in of 64 in 2 of the last 3 years. They have also recieved votes in the coaches top 25 each of the last 2 seasons. She will be on a full athletic scholarship. Moran will be a junior this coming year. I saw a video of her in the cage. Looks the part. Is it unusual to commit during your sophomore year? Regardless, congrats to her. She is the exception to the rule in NKY.

No I would say that is the norm now, If you don't have an offer by the fall your junior year you would be hard pressed to have any D1 money unless the school had someone back out. Not to say it does not happen but you want to be on the front end of the money not the back end. Most the BCS schools have been done with the 2013 class (juniors to be) for several months and everyone else just falls in line.
