The Morse Mustangs 18u scored 6 runs in the 7th inning Sunday to defeat the Lexington 8's in the championship game at Campbellsville College 8-4. If they get good pitching I think this team has a legitimate shot to win the Legion 18u state tournament. They have several of the best hitters in south-central Kentucky and have a good solid pitching staff. They recently finished 3rd in the prestigous 36 team Firecracker Classic at Myrtle Beach which had a strong field from all over the southeastern United States. Both Morse Mustang 18u teams will be competing in the Tennessee Tech Invitaional this weekend and then the Legion tournament will start. Good luck to the Mustangs in the tournament !!

I have heard that the Mustangs teams will play each other Sunday at Tennessee Tech University. This will be a rubber match as they have split two games.

So Sexton is now heading to Cleveland State? What happened to Thomas More? :confused:

He had never signed with Tomas More and he had a really good tournament down there earlier in the Summer at Cleveland St. After the tournament they made him an offer.

Watched a good baseball game tonight Shelbyville Post 37 vs Morse Mustangs. Shelbyville gets the win 4-3. Looks like this should be a big time match up in the district that will be played next week at Shelbyville.

Did Shelbyville throw their top pitcher or pitchers?

Oh..Didn't know there was a JUCO..

He may have throwed a couple of the better ones but he still had 2 that he didn't want to show them in my opinion niner. Mustangs threw a different pitcher every inning. Shelbyville hit it well had a couple of chances to bust it wide open with bases loaded and mo outs and didn't get nothing. I think Hoss was letting everybody bat that was there to let them get playing time before to main line up when districts start.

Sexton is not going to Cleveland State....he is still going to Thomas More...spoke to the young man myself on Thursday.

Spoke to him last night and he just made it official. He is going to Cleveland St.
