June 23, 201115 yr NBA Draft is tonight. Irving is pretty much a lock at the top spot, but it's going to be a pretty crazy eventful night after that IMO. I can't remember a draft with this much uncertainty in the lottery before. There's guys being mentioned as potential lottery picks that are also being mentioned as guys missing the 1st round. Can't ever recall that.

June 23, 201115 yr After the top 4 players there is a serious drop off. I mean look at some of the guys right outside of the top 10.
June 23, 201115 yr Author I think Jonas Valanciunas is going to slip down a few slots. Everything I've read has said Cleveland is in love with his game. If Utah takes Kanter #3 which I think they will, he's the only real choice, other than a trade, that the Cavs have IMO.

I'd try for a pick next year from a team that looks like its bound for the lottery. Having 3 lottery picks this year is like dating 3 ugly girls with bad personalities all at once. If he cannot play next year, that might make the Cavs think different. But then again if there is a lockout it might not matter as much. They may like that about him. Keeps them bad for next year, so they can stockpile more talent. Plus, he can mature overseas. Has worked for the Spurs and in other cases, might not be that bad of an idea.
