Thought I would start a thread where we can post AAU team results from several of the tourneys going on this weekend.

Shining Stars lost 48-36 to Old Gold. GRC players, Bopper had 6 pts, 5 reb, 1 A and 4 st. Charlie Rogers had 5 pts 6 reb,1 A, 1 Bl, and 1 steal. The shining stars where 10/37on 2's and 2/19 of 3/s Bopper had the two 3's. Their next game is at 1:25. They will have to play better than this in the next one.

 

BA Hoyas are playing in Chicage and their first game is 12:30 Central time.

16u Bombers won the first game in their pool at 8am this morning here in Fort Wayne, IN. The score was 80-58 against 2013 Camp Darryl-gray.

BA Hoyas won over Indy Jazz 85-46

 

Shining Stars lost 69-67 to Friends for Life team.

Shining Star Moman U16 are 1-1 right now in Columbus.

This is the text I got this morning on the BA Hoyas:

 

Floors are too slick, neither team wants to risk injury. Thus the game will be decided on the 5 best 3 point shooters. BA Hoyas lost 3 shots to 1 to Wisconsin Playmakers. BA Hoyas will now play at 9:10 Centra time in the Gold Division.

Nick has had a really good weekend. Bombers win in the final four game by 3 and now headed to the championship game.

Bombers win 78-67 to take home the silver division title. Congratulations bombers!!!

Being told that the Bombers had an incredible run to finish as the Silver Division Champions. They were able to receive contributions from every player present (Cody Monson - SK, injured) and Nick Jackson was a mismatch all weekend. The 8th, 9th, and 10th region should take notice to these guys.

To elaborate, Nick Jackson had 28 points 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the final four. Then followed that up with a double double performance in the finals with 18 points and 10 rebounds. The kid is about 6'5 with ball handling skills that allow him to play on the perimeter when a bigger defender is on him, but also has the size and strength to go score on the block when defended by someone smaller than him. If Nick can keep his head right, he will be a force in the 10th region the next two years.

Hoop Dreams from the 13 and under division won the tournament in Chicago! The boys played excellent and won the Championship game by double digits!

Crons U17 won their 3rd tourney of the year in 5 attempts, capturing the Kings Memorial Day Madness tourney this weekend defeating Higher Level in the finals.

Crons U16 won their pool play but lost to the Crons U17 as the 16/17 were combined as they often do in the Ohio youth tournaments.

Crons U15 Shover finished 3rd overall in the same tournament. They have been playing much better as the year progresses. The Crons will take the month of June off from tournaments so the boys can focus on their high school open gyms/camps etc.
