That draw for Boone is probably the best draw any #1 could hope for. They get the #8 team in the tourney in round one. Both NCC and Beechwood are 1 pitcher staffs IMO. Not to say the #2 and 3 pitchers on the staffs aren't capable of having a great start. But there is definitely a drop off to the #2 starter on both teams. So in round 2, Boone will almost surely face the weakest pitcher of tournament game 2 in the final four. I would have to go with Boone as the favorite with that draw.

Cov Cath didn't get a bad deal either. Easy first round draw and then face the winner of two teams that are also not deep pitching-wise. I see a CCH-Boone finals matchup and, if so, would go with Boone because they are a better hitting team.

I agree. Lauman and Dougie T should both be available for the championship. CCH isn't in bad shape and should have someone decent ready to throw in the 'ship.

What are the times, 12/3/6/9??

Guessing they would try to put them on 2 1/2 hour increments, which of course, never seem to work out. So maybe 12:00/2:30/5:00/7:30? Still kind of late to be starting that last game.

Are you assuming there's no way your boys could be playing in that game? You should leave it to other people to count you out.

CCH's pitching lineup will be interesting, mainly who will they start in game 1. Considering both Severson and Shumate have aparently been nursing their arms, do you go Maile in game 1 till it is in hand and then follow with Fagel? I think that is what I would do. Then you have Severson or Shumate in game 2, depending on which match up you like better and the other in the title game. And hopefully Maile only has to go a couple of innings on Monday and you can use him where needed the rest of the tournament.

Seems like they usually start these games in the morning...like 10:00.

Dixie Heights has a pretty good draw also. They beat Conner last week 7-4. The Colonels threw their #5 against the Cougars and the Cougars started their #1 or #2 in Nathan Freese.

They also have already beaten Cov Cath 10-3 while Cory Severson was on the mound. The Colonels threw Dematteo at them when they beat them earlier in the season.

Im sticking with my word and saying Dixie Heights is my sleeper.

The NCC/Beechwood game will be very interesting.

Do they empty the park after each game? Or do you hang on one ticket as long as you want?

The admission is good all day. I think you can get your hand stamped and return for a later game(s) if you're not into a baseball marathon.

Why two hours between each first round game except for one which is 3 hours?

We know games are not starting two hours apart.

Are you assuming there's no way your boys could be playing in that game? You should leave it to other people to count you out.

We both know that won't be a problem. LOL
