I would love to get the new maps, but will probably be without PS3 gaming until August. In a few days I'll be moving to Xenia, Ohio, for the summer to work with a summer collegiate baseball team and don't know if I'll be able to take my system with me to whoever is my host family.

Anyone check to see if the new maps are out?

What did you think about the new maps? I like Zoo and Convoy. Hotel is HUGE and a campers paradise(camper = sit in corner with claymore in front of you waiting for people to run by)

I think Hotel had potential, but yes, that's what a huge amount of people do. A lot of them camp the elevator rooms, and you have to get creative to get them out.

Then they weren't very good at it. Whichever building it is that has only one elevator, they'll camp that room. Claymore at the entryway, one in the corner of the elevator watching the door. Another crouched behind the desk on the opposite wall. They're able to watch the hallway that way and the claymore can take care of you if they miss you coming in. Grenades are the best way to get them out, but the one behind the desk can be very tough to take down once you've used your grenade.

Although it upsets me ever so slightly on the impact on my wallet, I do appreciate that Treyarch seems to care about the previous game for longer than their counterpart. How many DLC packs did we get for MW2? One?

I think there were at least 2 for MW2.

My fault, you are correct on that. After looking them up, I remember my complaint about them. In each, you only get three new maps, and two retreads each. Being that they were simply updated graphics on the same maps (literally the same maps from top to bottom), there was no reason that IW couldn't have brought each and every single one of the old maps in.

 

This map pack will raise the total maps to 26 in the multiplayer, almost doubling the amount of maps (from 14).

Is the new map pack worth getting?
