This statement makes me chuckle. Really, just laughing as hard as I can. Never once did he get the South Laurel basketball program on probation for illegal players now did he? As wore out his welcome .... maybe to the people that didn't like him because he had successful teams. I know a lot of people in the school system that still likes him and didn't want him to leave.

Why do people always need to provide their negative opinions! Do you for fact know that he wore out his welcome at SL? If coach Wright wasn't playing by the rules, where was the KHSAA at when all of this was going down?

Laurel County doesn't support any of its athletic teams. I don't know why any coach would want to work there.

Wright did well when the administration allowed him to freely get players from other surrounding schools. When they made him start playing by the rules, things didn't go so well for him. He soon wore out his welcome, and off to PSW he goes. I wish him the best.

 

You don't know Steve Wright obviously. Excellent basketball coach, better person.
